Responsibilities
Reprocess and sterilise surgical instruments and equipment for the Operating Theatres and clinical areas within the Hospital
Handle used items for the sterilisation process, including collection procedures and precautions
Perform decontamination and disinfection processes
Assemble instrument trays correctly based on demonstrated instrumentation knowledge
Work across all shifts, AM/PM/Nights plus a 24/7 on call roster
Requirements
Current clinical experience in sterilisation techniques
Familiarity with Australian Standard ***********
Knowledge of ACHS Standards
Understanding of NHMRC Guidelines for the prevention of transmission of infectious diseases
SRACA Membership 'Sterilising Research & Advisory Council of Australia (QLD) INC' (Desirable)
Loan Kit experience (Desirable)
Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospital infection control requirements




Undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
