Equity Impact Assessment Project Officer
Part time (0.8FTE), temporary role (18 months), 4 days per week
Band 6 - Salary commencing at $99,917 per annum (plus superannuation)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Equity Impact Assessment Project Officer to build capability across the organisation to ensure staff are equipped to develop, implement, support and monitor effective equity impact assessments for projects, policies and decisions.
About the role
In this role you will build organisational capability by developing practical tools, resources and training that support staff to understand and apply equity impact approaches. You will work collaboratively across the organisation to provide guidance, facilitate learning and support the integration of equity and inclusion principles into projects, policies and strategic initiatives.
You will
Design and deliver resources, and training sessions to build Council officers' capability in producing equity impact assessments.
Support the development, piloting and refinement of Council's equity impact assessment tools, templates and guidelines.
Conduct research and analysis to inform the equity impact framework, drawing on best practice and community consultation.
Engage service units and project teams across Council in the equity impact assessment process, providing guidance and support.
Prepare equity impact assessments
Be a collaborative and values driven professional with a strong commitment to building capability in equity and inclusion.
About you
We are looking for:
Experience in local government, the public sector or the community sector.
Demonstrated experience in equity impact assessment, social impact assessment or related policy and planning work.
Understanding of equity, inclusion, human rights and social justice frameworks.
Proven ability to develop practical tools and build organisational capability.
Strong written communication and facilitation skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with adaptability and a positive attitude toward continuous improvement.
