A restructure has created the need for a Manufacturing Operations Manager in Victoria and we have been retained to identify a highly driven, inspirational Manager who has had input into the P&L; of a large organisation.
The company manufactures high volume low cost products that are delivered against Just In Time programs; quality, service and price are all equally important in this highly competitive industry segment.
The ideal person would have developed into a senior executive in a company where, on the way to Manufacturing Management, they were exposed to all individual parts of a large, known busines. You must have controlled the strategic and tactical activities of a successful manufaturing team and this will be apparent in your personal drive and management style. In this position your team consists of 150 people who are involved in manufacturing, planning and delivering customer satisfaction.
The position will appeal to a hard nosed modern manager who is creative, strategic by nature and tactical by market demands; what you might term a "fresh thinker" always looking to find alternative approaches to growing a business by improving its manufacturing activities.
This is a senior executive position and the company considers its people the main asset it has, thus the training,



development, safety and management of a large team is of paramount importance. Note, you must have managed a manufacturing activity and words and phrases such as, Lean, Quality Management, Continuous Improvement etc must be a part of your everyday language at work.
Any formal education you have completed including an MBA, Degree in Manufacturing, Management etc would be well regarded.
We expect to see a stable background and those that have changed employers often are best advised to apply elsewhere.
This is a senior position in a demanding IR environment and the successful applicant will need to show they have worked in a similar situation. This is not a position for someone who is ready for the "next step up the ladder" only a tried and tested executive will be considered, you will find yourself involved in industrial relations activities every week and you will effect change management over a long period of time; you must never give up!
It is critical that your natural managment style is people orientated, your task will be to inspire your team to be colegiate , highly motivated and, most importantly results driven.
