CD Motor Group is seeking an experienced and motivated
Spare Parts Manager
to lead our Parts Department across both
CD Motor Group
and
Heritage Auto Group
. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a results-driven professional who is passionate about customer service, operational excellence, and developing strong team performance.
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Parts Department, ensuring efficient inventory management, profitable parts sales, and exceptional support for our service departments, wholesale customers, and retail clients.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Parts Department across both dealer groups.
Drive sales growth through retail, trade, and internal workshop parts sales.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and manufacturer representatives.
Manage inventory levels to maximise availability while maintaining healthy stock turns.
Monitor departmental performance, budgets, and key performance indicators.
Develop pricing strategies to maximise profitability and competitiveness.
Recruit, coach, and develop Parts Department team members.
Ensure productive ordering, receipting, storage, and distribution of parts.
Maintain high standards of customer service and operational compliance.




Work collaboratively with Service Managers and dealership leadership to achieve business objectives.
About You
You are an experienced automotive parts qualified with strong leadership skills and a commercial mindset. You thrive in a fast-paced dealership environment and understand how to balance customer satisfaction with profitability.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience managing an automotive Parts Department.
Strong knowledge of automotive parts operations and inventory management.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a successful team.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong financial and analytical skills, including budgeting and KPI management.
Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities.
Experience using dealership management systems (experience with Pentana is advantageous but not essential).
A current driver's licence.
