About the opportunityWe're looking for a Senior Project Controls Planner who can turn complexity into clarity, providing the schedules, forecasts, and insights that drive project success.
Join a major construction project and take ownership of the planning function that drives successful delivery.
Based in our Brisbane office, you'll work alongside Project Managers, construction leaders, and key stakeholders to provide the schedule certainty, performance insights, and forward visibility needed to keep a complex project on track.
This isn't just a scheduling role.
You'll be at the heart of project delivery—building integrated schedules, analysing performance, identifying risks before they become issues, and helping teams make confident, data-driven decisions.
Your work will directly influence productivity, resource optimisation, project forecasting, and project outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Build, maintain, and optimise integrated Primavera P6 schedules
Drive planning, progress measurement, and forecasting activities across the project
Identify schedule risks, delays, and opportunities before they impact delivery
Produce performance reports, dashboards, manpower histograms, and project insights
Partner with construction teams to ensure plans reflect real-world site execution
Coordinate subcontractor schedules and align them with overall project objectives
Support commercial reporting, forecasting, claims, and project controls activities
Deliver meaningful KPI reporting and Power BI dashboards for project leadership
Improve work packaging, look-ahead planning, and delivery efficiency
Provide the visibility and controls needed to achieve successful project outcomes
About youYou're a proactive Project Controls Planner who thrives in fast-paced construction environments.
You combine strong technical planning skills with commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge assumptions, influence stakeholders, and drive results.
You bring:
8+ years' experience in planning or project controls within construction, infrastructure, or major projects
Advanced Primavera P6 capability, including schedule development, logic analysis, and baseline management
Experience across construction scopes such as earthworks, drainage, pipework, civil, electrical, or SMP works
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and resource planning
Proven ability to work closely with project and site teams to develop realistic, deliverable schedules
Experience managing subcontractor programs and integrating multiple work fronts
Strong reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Exposure to forecasting, cashflow management, and commercial project controls
Power BI experience (highly regarded)
The ability to communicate clearly, challenge constructively, and influence decisions at all levels
