We are looking for an exceptional, nurturing, and dedicated Room Leader to join our supportive team. About the Role
As our Room Leader, you will play an important role in creating a warm, inclusive, and child safe environment where children feel secure, supported, and confident to explore, learn, and grow.
You will lead with professionalism, empathy, and integrity while supporting your team to deliver high-quality education and care that reflects the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, and Wonder Years' values.
Responsibilities include:
Creating and maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where children's wellbeing is prioritised.
Ensuring all interactions with children are positive, professional, and guided by children's rights, dignity, and individual needs.
Delivering an innovative, high-quality early childhood program that reflects current theory, practice, and Wonder Years' philosophy.
Supporting children's learning, development, wellbeing, and individual interests through meaningful experiences.
Providing active supervision and ensuring the health,
safety, and protection of children at all times.
Identifying and responding appropriately to child safety concerns in line with policies, procedures, and mandatory reporting obligations.
Mentoring, coaching, and supporting educators to provide high-quality education and care.
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, reflection, and professional growth.
Implementing the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and maintaining the National Quality Standards.
Observing, documenting, and reflecting on children's learning and development.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Holds an approved Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Has a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
Demonstrates safe, respectful, and nurturing interactions with children.
Understands the importance of child protection, professional boundaries, and creating child safe environments.
Is a strong leader who supports, guides, and inspires their team.
Communicates positively and builds strong relationships with children, families, and educators.
