Project Manager – Demolition Experience Required
DEMEX is seeking an experiencedProject Manager- Demolitionto join our team in Yatala, QLD.
This is a full-time position that plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our demolition and construction projects.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, budget control, and timely project completion.
This role is central to maintaining DEMEX's reputation for excellence and delivering exceptional results to our clients.
Key responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and manage all demolition and construction projects from inception to completion
Develop detailed project schedules, budgets and resource allocations to ensure efficient project delivery
Supervise and coordinate site teams, contractors and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely and to specification
Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets, implementing corrective actions as necessary
Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, environmental standards and company policies on all sites
Liaise with clients, stakeholders and regulatory bodies to manage expectations and provide regular project updates
Manage contract documentation, permits, licenses and compliance requirements
Conduct site inspections and quality audits to maintain project standards
Control costs, manage change orders and maintain detailed project documentation
Identify and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans
What we're looking for
Minimum 5+ years' experience in project management within the demolition or construction industry




Proven track record of successfully managing demolition projects from start to finish
Strong knowledge of demolition methodologies, safety protocols and regulatory compliance
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications
Solid leadership capabilities with the ability to manage and motivate teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Current driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required
Tertiary qualification in construction management, engineering or related discipline is preferred
