About the role
Culture Amp is seeking an Associate Data Scientist to help build AI-driven features for our employee experience platform. You will design technical solutions, improve data quality, and manage AI tools to deliver measurable value to our global customer base.
Key facts Location: Sydney Engagement: Hybrid (average of 2 days per week in the office)
What you'll do
Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to build, test, and release AI-powered product features.
Address practical problems using human-centric and ethical methodologies.
Build data pipelines, LLM-based enrichment workflows, and system evaluation frameworks.
Engage in cross-functional knowledge sharing with people scientists and engineering teams.
Monitor industry research and vendor developments to apply findings to customer needs.
Requirements
Formal education in Data Science, Applied Machine Learning, Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
Background in classical data science, statistical analysis, model training, and data exploration.
Experience with LLMs, specifically regarding evaluation metrics and agentic workflows.
Proficiency in SQL, ideally with enterprise systems like Postgres or Redshift.




Competency in Python and standard data science libraries such as numpy and pandas.
Knowledge of machine learning models, experimental design, statistical testing, and validation.
Experience using data visualization tools like streamlit, seaborn, or plotly.
Familiarity with software engineering standards including version control, testing, and continuous deployment.
Nice to have
Experience with data modeling.
Exposure to tools such as airflow or metaflow.
