About the role
This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Adelaide. The Infrastructure & Platforms Lead will integrate technical skills with leadership responsibilities to create, develop, and sustain the essential platforms that underpin software products. The focus will be on maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure both in the cloud and on-premises, while guiding engineering teams, shaping platform strategies, and working closely with engineering, architecture, and security teams to ensure high-performance production environments.

What you'll do
Oversee the design, implementation, and management of infrastructure solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance platform performance and security.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Develop and execute strategies for infrastructure scalability and reliability.
Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
Requirements




Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure management and platform engineering.
Proven expertise in cloud technologies, specifically AWS and Azure.
Robust background in network architecture and security protocols.
Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools, including Terraform or Ansible.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Nice to have
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in managing on-premises infrastructure alongside cloud solutions.
Knowledge of database management systems and data storage solutions.
Skills & tools
AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, networking, security protocols, CI/CD tools.
