We are looking for an experiences National Manager who will be responsible for the effective day‐to‐day repair, maintenance, coordination, administration, and support of the company's fleet of heavy vehicles and assets. This role ensures fleet availability, reliability, and compliance nationally, supporting operational requirements through proactive coordination and accurate information management.
We are NHVR Maintenance Accredited, so experience and understanding requirements as per the accreditation is essential.
The Role:
Fleet Coordination & Scheduling
Coordinate and schedule servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance across the fleet.
Manage vehicle availability to meet operational and contractual requirements.
Assist with planning fleet reallocations, replacements, and asset change‐outs.
Maintenance & Compliance
Maintain accurate service and maintenance schedules for all fleet assets.
Ensure vehicles meet regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements.
Monitor inspections, registrations, certifications, and defect rectification.
Liaise with internal workshops and external service providers to coordinate repairs and servicing.
Asset & Data Management
Maintain accurate fleet records including service history, usage, costs, and supporting documentation.
Track asset performance and identify reliability or utilisation trends.




Support asset lifecycle activities including procurement, commissioning, and disposal.
Operational Support
Act as a central point of contact between operations, workshops, drivers, and management.
Respond to breakdowns or operational issues and coordinate timely resolution.
Support investigations, diagnostics, and evidence collection for major asset issues.
Provide accurate and timely reporting to support decision‐making.
Assist with monitoring maintenance spend and operating costs.
Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and reduce downtime.
Support the implementation of fleet maintenance systems and processes.
This role will require travel to our interstate branches from time to time.
The successful candidate will possess:
Robust understanding of maintenance scheduling and vehicle compliance.
Experience coordinating a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles and trailers for repairs and maintenance requires with minimal impact on operational requirements.
Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency with fleet management systems and Microsoft Office.
Experience in transport.
Heavy diesel mechanical or technical understanding of vehicle maintenance.
Experience in fleet coordination, transport operations, or asset management.
