The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0.
This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Purpose of the Role
To develop/review electrical designs, monitoring and maintenance of electrical QMS, procurement of electrical materials, order tracking and expediting with suppliers and technical support for project engineering queries as required.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science, majoring in Electrical Engineering

Experience
Proven expertise as an electrical engineer
Experience using design and calculation software
Extensive experience in tunnelling construction or industrial engineering, typically 2+ years of experience
Experience on major infrastructure construction operations of similar scale with a proven ability to operate in a agile "live" environment and to meet significant program hurdles.
Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works
Extensive knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes
Understanding of electrical engineering codes and Australian Electrical Standards
Strong Initiative and proactive nature
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Well-developed time management skills
High attention to detail
Exceptional knowledge and ability in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Introduction to the plant and equipment organization and interface management between other disciplines in the project.
Introduction to planning and scheduling for upcoming construction activities.
Educate regarding the relevant Australian Standards and project specifications applicable for electrical design review process.
Introduction to risk assessment workshops, safety in design, safety work method statements and job hazard analysis assessments.
Preparation of scope of works for plant and equipment procurement and understanding of technical evaluation process.
Review and understand electrical schematics for construction of plant and equipment.
Drafting of electrical schematics, designing of electrical systems and providing technical support for project wide electrical queries.
Understand the quality management process, review inspection test plans and introduction to various permit systems for mechanical and electrical energization and operation.
