We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage and oversee our financial operations.
The ideal candidate will have a robust background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic aviation environment.
This position is 25 hours per week, on-site, preferably 5 hour days, 5 days a week at our Caboolture facility, with a start asap.
Responsibilities
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable/Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Research technical accounting issues for compliance
Support month-end and year-end close process
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filing




Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Managing the day-to-day accounting transactions
Liaisingwith the external Accountant for annual accounts and tax queries
Reconciliation, preparation and lodgement of monthly or quarterly business activity statements (BAS)
Processing payroll and other relatedpayroll tasks
Basic HR administrative tasks

Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Formal qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting and/or Finance.
