Access and Equity Access and Equity play a key role in the shared strategic goal of progressing equity and inclusion at Edith Cowan University.
The area is responsible for providing high quality services to students, delivering enabling programs, and progressing equitable and inclusive practice across the institution.
Access and Equity work collaboratively with stakeholders across the university to drive consistent, evidence-based and transformational equity and inclusion initiatives for students and staff.
About The Prospect ECU's Living Room is a contemporary, inclusive student space designed to support connection, wellbeing and a sense of belonging for students from diverse backgrounds.
This role will support research and evaluation activities to understand the impact, value and outcomes of the Living Room for students, staff and the wider University community.
Working within a multidisciplinary research and professional services environment,



the Research and Evaluation Officer will support the planning and delivery of qualitative and quantitative research activities.
Reporting to the Equity Evaluation Lead, the role works closely with Student Life, Access and Equity, academic schools, and institutional research and data teams.
About You The role will suit someone with sound research capability, strong organisational skills, and the ability to engage respectfully with students and stakeholders, including those from equity and underrepresented cohorts.
You Will Be Able To Demonstrate a relevant tertiary qualification in social work, education, psychology, allied or public health, or a related field, together with relevant experience in research or evaluation settings; experience supporting qualitative and/or quantitative research projects; the ability to manage research data and documentation responsibly; strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to coordinate research activities, timelines and records; and a demonstrated commitment to culturally protected, ethical and inclusive engagement with students, staff and a diversity of stakeholders.
