We are looking for a Casual Auslan Employment Coach who wants to grow with us in a truly rewarding role.
This position is 3-4 days per week with the potential to transition to full time.
The role is ***** split between our Sutherland office and wroking from home offering flexibility while staying connected with the team.
This role supports Deaf and hard of hearing individuals under the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) Program.
The position is based in our Sutherland office with occasional work from home flexibility.
Travel will be required at times to visit clients, employers and our other office locations in Liverpool and Wollongong so a willingness to travel is important.

What you will do:
You'll work directly with Deaf, hard of hearing and people with hearing loss to support them on their journey toward meaningful employment.
Whether someone is job‐ready or just beginning to explore their options, you'll be there with compassion, practical guidance and a strengths‐based approach.
Your day-to-day will include:
Building rapport with clients to understand their work goals and support needs
Helping them build job readiness skills (and confidence!)
Creating or refining resumes and cover letters
Running mock interviews and providing constructive feedback
Encouraging clients to approach employers and apply for roles
Showing clients how to navigate job platforms like Seek
Taking and making phone calls on their behalf(yes, you'll often be the ears on the line!)
Following up with employers and advocating for your clients
Supporting with practical skills like basic tech or travel training
Logging case notes and task follow-ups using our client system
Working alongside Auslan interpreters, support coordinators and other providers
Assisting with communication strategies and Employment Assistance Fund (EAF) processes
About you:
You must be fluent in Auslan or have a strong, confident level of Auslan communication skills.
If you're still learning, that's okay —but only if you're already able to hold conversations independently with Deaf clients.
This will be assessed at the interview stage.
You haveexcellent English skills– especially in writing – and can create professional documents such as resumes and cover letters.
You'reconfident communicating with employers, including making and receiving phone calls on behalf of clients who may not have spoken access.
You'rekind, respectful and passionate about making a difference, ensuring clients are always treated with dignity, choice and control.
You havestrong admin skills– you're organised, detail-oriented and able to keep clear case notes, and follow up tasks.
You areNSW-based– applications from outside NSW or overseas will not be considered.
You are confident using platforms like MS Teams, email and cloud-based tools.
You bring energy, initiative and a "let's figure it out" attitude.
You're up for training and open to learning – no one's expecting perfection, just a great mindset.
Experience with NDIS, DES/IEA or JobActive is great but not essential.
You'll need:A valid drivers licence (travel to clients, employers and other offices is required)
