About the role:
We're working with a large enterprise organisation undertaking a significant engineering modernisation initiative and looking for a DevOps or Platform Leader to join a growing Platform Engineering capability.
While the role carries the title of "Product Owner" internally, we're particularly interested in people operating at a Lead, Principal, Architect or Engineering Management level who have experience improving engineering outcomes through better tooling, self-service capabilities, platform standards, governance and platform adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and prioritise the engineering platform roadmap
Drive the adoption of GitHub Enterprise and contemporary engineering practices
Lead platform modernisation initiatives, including migration from legacy tooling
Define and evolve platform standards, guardrails and operating models
Improve developer experience through self-service capabilities and paved-path solutions




Contribute to the organisation's emerging AI-enabled engineering capabilities
About You:
Background in Platform Engineering, DevOps or Software Engineering
Experience working with developer platforms, internal engineering products or engineering enablement initiatives
Strong understanding of GitHub, GitLab, CI/CD and modern software delivery practices
Experience delivering large-scale technology transformation, migration or modernisation initiatives
Able to balance standardisation and governance with developer autonomy and usability
