An exciting opportunity is available for experienced First Class Welders to join a leading Australian manufacturer of heavy mining attachments and large-scale structural components based in Archerfield on either day or afternoon shift.
This is a workshop-based role working on heavy mining equipment and excavator attachments, offering consistent overtime, stable ongoing work and a genuine temp-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidates.
Duties
Perform heavy plate FCAW welding on mining buckets, excavator attachments and structural components
Complete multi-pass welds on thick, high-strength steel
Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding procedures
Carry out fit-up, structural welding and fabrication activities
Complete repairs, modifications and wear package installations
Conduct quality inspections and ensure work meets required standards
Operate safely within a heavy manufacturing environment

Skills & Experience
Australian recognised Trade Qualification or First Class Welder qualification
Proven experience welding heavy plate in a mining or heavy fabrication environment
Experience with mining buckets, excavator attachments or similar heavy equipment
Strong FCAW welding experience on thick structural steel
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Reliable, safety-focused and able to work effectively within a team
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
