Procurement Officer | Northern Rivers NSW | Open to Relocation | Term Contract to June ****
Casino, NSW - Northern Rivers Region
Thinking about a change of scenery? Osborne Richardson is assisting our fantastic client, a local Council in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, to find a Procurement Officer to join their Fleet and Procurement team. This is a full time term contract through to June **** (70 hour fortnight), based in Casino - with the coast at Evans Head and the Outstanding Dividing Range foothills both nearby.
Open to relocating?
We're happy to have a conversation with candidates considering a move to the region. The client is open to discussing an adjusted hourly rate to help support relocation costs, and we can also assist with guidance around the practical side of getting there. Nothing is set in stone - we'd rather have a proper chat about what would make a move work for you.
About the role

Work closely with Coordinators to advise on lead times for goods, and flag any issues or changes with suppliers and contracts
Support all Council staff with procurement processes, including Tenders, RFQs and EOIs, and the use of online procurement tools
Deliver training and guidance to staff on procurement procedures, probity and risk reduction, including onboarding new staff into procurement processes
Ensure contractor compliance with contract terms relating to incoming goods for Council stores
Help maintain safe, well run operations across the Council's works depots, including managing supply of PPE to staff
About you
Certificate IV in Procurement (or equivalent), or 4 years experience in a similar environment
Current Class C Drivers Licence
Strong communicator, comfortable working autonomously and within a small team
Local Government or government tendering and procurement experience is highly regarded
Budget development and administration experience is a bonus
Open to relocating and keen to explore what a move like this could look like
