We’re looking for experienced Civil Engineers who enjoy solving complex engineering problems, leading consultants and delivering practical engineering solutions.

Our client is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its Infrastructure and Studies Team, supporting a diverse portfolio of mining, sustaining capital, infrastructure and decarbonisation projects.

Working within an Owner’s Engineering environment, you’ll provide technical leadership across engineering studies, feasibility, detailed design and consultant management while supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering practical, secure and cost‑effective civil infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop in‑house civil engineering design packages.
- Deliver designs covering:
- Earthworks
- Roads
- Drainage
- Site infrastructure
- Prepare:
- Basis of Design documents
- Design Reports
- Technical Specifications
- Scopes of Work
- Design Summary Memoranda
- Material Take-Offs (MTOs)




- Provide technical leadership throughout:
- Concept studies
- Feasibility studies
- Detailed design
- Project execution
- Review engineering models, drawings and technical documentation.
- Coordinate engineering consultants and manage technical deliverables.
- Monitor consultant performance, budgets and schedules.
- Manage GIS and engineering mapping datasets.
- Assess infrastructure options and provide engineering recommendations.
- Support engineering risk assessments and risk management activities.
- Coordinate with Mining, Rail, Operations and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience delivering mining, industrial or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience designing:
- Earthworks
- Roads
- Drainage
- Site infrastructure
- Experience preparing engineering study documentation.
- Strong Owner’s Engineering or engineering consultancy experience.
- Experience managing engineering consultants.
- Strong understanding of engineering risk management.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Robust communication and stakeholder engagement capability.
- Knowledge of Australian engineering standards and legislation.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers.
