About the Role

The Bar Duty Manager will oversee bar operations during allocated shifts, ensuring smooth service delivery, strong staff productivity and an exceptional guest experience. Key responsibilities include supervising bar staff, monitoring labour performance, managing stock levels, supporting cost control and maintaining high standards across compliance, safety, cleanliness and service.

This position also involves handling customer feedback, coaching team members, supporting cocktail and beverage training, managing staff availability and leave, and working closely with management to identify operational improvements. The role is ideal for a hands-on hospitality professional with strong leadership ability, commercial awareness and a genuine passion for bar operations.

Your Skills and Experience

- Minimum 3 years of experience in bar management or duty management within a busy hospitality environment

- Strong understanding of RSA requirements, workplace health and safety, food safety and hospitality compliance

- Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate bar teams while maintaining service standards and labour targets

- Experience with stock control, inventory management, cost control,



POS systems and financial reporting

- Flexible availability across evenings, weekends and public holidays, with current RSA certification required
