Torres Strait Island Regional Council in Cairns is seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to lead end-to-end payroll operations, ensure accuracy and compliance, and drive continuous improvements within the Finance team.

You’ll manage fortnightly and ad-hoc payroll, provide specialist advice to managers and staff, supervise the payroll team, and uphold the organisation’s values while delivering a high-quality payroll service across Council’s diverse island communities.
