The Opportunity

LINX Port Services are currently seeking a Workplace Relations Lead, to join the team on a national level. This critical role is a hands‐on position that will deliver best practice ER, HR and IR outcomes, solutions, advice, and counsel to key stakeholders across the business including Operational Leads and Support Leads.

Reporting directly to the GM of HR/IR the Workplace Relations Lead will be a key member of the People Leadership Team.

About the Position

As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will play a key role in providing practical and timely employee and industrial relations support across the business. Working closely with leaders, employees and People Team stakeholders, you will help maintain positive workplace relationships, advise on employee matters, and ensure compliance with workplace legislation, enterprise agreements and company policies.

Key responsibilities include:

Provide day‐to‐day ER/IR advice and support to Workplace Relations Leads, managers and employees across a broad range of workplace matters, including performance management, conduct, grievances, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.

Partner with operational leaders and People Team colleagues, including Payroll, Recruitment and Workers Compensation, to support and deliver consistent and compliant people outcomes .

Support the administration and implementation of enterprise agreements, industrial instruments, workplace policies and ER/IR initiatives.

Assist with the management of employee relations matters,



workplace investigations and preparing documentation and recommendations for resolution.

Monitor and interpret changes in employment legislation, industrial relations developments and relevant case law, providing guidance to stakeholders as required.

Support the preparation of correspondence, reports, submissions and supporting documentation relating to ER/IR matters.

Contribute to the development of ER/IR resources, proactive positive workplace initiatives, training, and education programs to build leader capability and promote best‐practice people management.

About You

You are a proactive and commercially minded Employee Relations professional who enjoys partnering with leaders to resolve workplace issues and deliver practical positive outcomes. You have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a sound understanding of employment and industrial relations frameworks.

You are resilient, non‐emotive and confidently work alongside and/or manage sensitive matters. You strive to build trusted relationships across a diverse workforce with a flexible and considered approach.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Essential Skills and Experience

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Law, Psychology, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated experience in an Employee Relations, Human Resources or Industrial Relations advisory role.

Experience supporting employee relations matters within a blue‐collar, operational, logistics, transport, manufacturing, construction, maritime or similar environment.

Sound knowledge of employment legislation, modern awards, enterprise agreements and industrial relations frameworks.

Experience managing workplace investigations,



grievance matters and employee misconduct or performance issues.

Strong ability to interpret and apply enterprise agreements, awards, legislation and organisational policies.

Excellent written communication skills, including preparation of formal correspondence and investigation reports.

Solid verbal communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Ability to build effective working relationships with employees, leaders, unions and key stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem‐solving capabilities with high attention to detail.

Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast‐paced environment.

A collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a broader People and Culture team.

Flexibility to travel to operational sites as required.
