Exciting Opportunity for Experienced Underground Shift Boss Near Kalgoorlie-Boulder, WA

Are you a seasoned mining professional ready to lead a dynamic underground team through a transformative phase? Join our client's high-growth gold project near Kalgoorlie as an Underground Shift Boss, where you'll play a pivotal role in establishing and overseeing safe, efficient underground operations during this exciting transition from open cut to underground mining.

This full-time, permanent position offers a unique ground-floor opportunity to influence operational practices and foster a safety-first culture at a rapidly evolving site. Work a 14-day on, 14-day off FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie, with quality accommodation at Davey Hurst Camp, competitive pay, and site allowances.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

- Current WA Underground Supervisor's Certificate of Competency

- Proven underground hard rock mining experience, with a preference for gold mining background

- Experience with underground development, including decline or portal establishment

- Solid knowledge of underground mining methods (e.g., long-hole stoping, cut and fill)

- Solid understanding of ground support, ventilation,



and explosives/changing practices

- Demonstrated leadership ability, capable of managing and developing small crews in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication, reporting, and hazard management skills

- Valid WA driver's license and relevant plant tickets (EWP, telehandler, underground LV/HV)

- Shotfirer's ticket is highly regarded

Nice to Have:

- Experience with underground infrastructure projects

- Familiarity with dual open cut/underground operations

- Additional underground mobile plant certifications

Preferred Education & Experience:

- Relevant technical or trade qualifications in mining or engineering

- Minimum several years of underground mining experience, specifically in a supervisory role

Additional Requirements:

- Ability to work FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie

- Willingness to work in remote, camp-based conditions

- Commitment to safety, excellence, and continuous improvement
