Position overview

- Employment Type: Full-time (80 hours per fortnight) with a monthly ADO, fixed term, 12 months secondment cover. The role is Monday - Friday.

- Contract dates: Available for immediate start until October 1, 2027.
- Location: Based in Warrnambool with option for 1-2 days in Camperdown to be agreed with by Manager.
- Classification: Administrative Worker Grade 4
- Salary Range: $87,003.80 - $95,705.48 pro rata, plus superannuation

About the role

South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a passionate graphic designer and communications professional who enjoys working in a quick-paced setting to create engaging social content and print and digital assets that place accessible design principles front and centre.

This role provides scope to be creative and to use a wide range of skills to help South West Healthcare communicate its key messages to both internal and external audiences. As part of a small team you will work across the organisation getting to know both clinical and non-clinical staff and assisting with the creation of health promotion and important internal staff communications.

What you will be doing

- Designing external health promotion advertisements for print and digital
- Designing posters, pamphlets and printed materials for a range of audiences including patient and consumer information
- Designing internal staff communications including newsletters, editing straightforward training videos and publishing to the staff intranet
- You will be the main content driver for South West Healthcare's social media channels and contribute regular news items to the website
- Managing design tasks and competing priorities to deliver high-quality work on time
- Develop and maintain accessible, brand-aligned templates, assets and communication materials across a range of formats
- Take the lead on design and layout of the South West Healthcare Annual Report
- Assisting the wider communications team with running events

What you bring

- Strong commitment to patient confidentiality and professionalism




- Excellent communication skills including strong ability to write for a variety of audiences
- An eye for detail and understanding of accessible design
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (including video editing) and Microsoft Office
- Experience with Canva
- Solutions-focused mindset and ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams
- Ability to meet deadlines and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with ad buying/placement desirable
- Experience with community engagement/ health promotion desirable
