Join the Western Sydney Local Health District Osteoarthritis Chronic Care Program (OACCP), an innovative multidisciplinary service delivering evidence-based conservative care for people living with hip and knee osteoarthritis. This is a fantastic chance to work with an evolving OACCP service with a vision for establishing a Joint Health Centre in WSLHD as a centre of excellence. Working across Mt Druitt, Blacktown, Westmead and Auburn Hospitals, you'll play a key role in improving patient outcomes while helping shape a new model of care.

What you'll be doing
As a Physiotherapist within the OACCP, you will provide high-quality outpatient physiotherapy services to patients with hip and knee osteoarthritis through evidence-based assessment, education and exercise programs.



You'll work both independently and collaboratively to deliver outstanding patient-centred care while contributing to the ongoing development of this exciting service.

Assess patients and develop individualised, goal-oriented physiotherapy treatment plans.

Deliver education and supervised group exercise programs that support conservative osteoarthritis management.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimise patient outcomes and coordinate care.

Contribute to service evaluation, quality improvement, reporting and research activities.

Support the establishment and ongoing refinement of an innovative model of care across WSLHD.

Essential Criteria

Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy

Registration: Current General Physiotherapy Registration under AHPRA

Selection Criteria

Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients

Well-developed written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills as well as coaching and facilitation skills.

Ability to work autonomously as an independent practitioner as well as within a multidisciplinary team

Able to manage time well in an out-patient setting and prioritise workloads.

Experience participating in quality improvement initiatives as well as clinical redesign projects





Demonstrated skills in the analysis of complex issues and conditions relating to osteoarthritis of the hip and/or knee including problem solving, behaviour change strategies and the ability to monitor health outcomes

Relevant qualification in Physiotherapy and Registration with AHPRA
