What does the job look like?

We are currently seeking experienced HC Truck Drivers to join our Intermodal operations based out of Cairns. This role supports a varied transport task, including containerized freight, metro and customer site deliveries, as well as pick-ups across the metropolitan area and regional locations. Shifts will start from 5am subject to business needs, with flexibility required across a seven-day rotating roster and occasional weekend work during peak periods. Key areas:

- Driving to Linfox Safety Standards and ensuring that Vision Zero is a daily focus.
- Supporting customer deliveries and/or pick-ups of dry grocery, chilled and frozen freight and specialised customer requirements.
- Working flexibly across rotating shifts, with longer shifts where freight arrivals are delayed or operational demand changes.
- Providing excellent customer service and representing Linfox in a professional manner.
- Accurately completing and collecting all required documentation.




- Maintaining strong knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, load restraint and road transport legislation.

Are you the one?

You can demonstrate:

- Minimum 2 yrs recent and/or previous experience in a similar role.
- A strong safety mindset, with sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and load restraint requirements.
- Confidence using technology, including tablets or electronic run systems, as well as completing paper-based documentation when required.
- Willingness to learn side loader operations and complete any required customer-specific training,
- Responsible manual handling including manual pallet jack experience
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide professional service to a range of customers.
