As part of the Palliative Care Consult Team at Liverpool Hospital, you'll play a meaningful role in supporting patients with complex and life-limiting illnesses. This team works across multiple specialties, providing expert guidance, compassionate care, and collaborative support to patients, families, and clinical teams.
You'll contribute to improving quality of life, ensuring comfort, and helping shape care plans that reflect each patient's goals and values. Your work will directly influence how patients experience some of the most important moments in their healthcare journey.
Are You the Right Fit?
You'll thrive in this role if you:
- Bring strong active listening skills and a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in palliative care nursing preferred
- Are comfortable working Monday to Friday, 0800-1630 hrs
- Are confident working across diverse clinical specialties and adapting to varied patient needs.
- Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Value holistic, dignified palliative care and can provide thoughtful clinical input.
- Enjoy working alongside Registered Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Nurse Consultants, and Doctors.
- Appreciate being part of a well-supported service reporting to the Nurse Manager of the Cancer Therapy Centre.
