Job Overview

We're looking for an Executive Assistant to serve as the right hand to the CEO of a mission-driven social enterprise, taking full ownership of executive operations so leadership can focus on delivering critical services to an underserved community. This is not a traditional admin role-you will proactively manage the CEO's day, anticipate needs, challenge decisions when necessary, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. You'll thrive in this role if you value autonomy, share a commitment to social impact, and can manage upward with confidence and initiative.

Client Overview

Our client is a rapidly growing social enterprise based in Western Australia that provides disability navigation support, medical support, and business development services to the LGBTQIA+ community. As a values-driven, profit-for-purpose organization, they focus on serving vulnerable populations, particularly neurodivergent individuals who face significant gaps in Australia's healthcare system. The organization is eighteen months old, has achieved profitability in its first year, and is on track to double or triple revenue over the next two years.

Schedule: Flexible within client's business hours | AEST

Responsibilities

- Manage and optimize the CEO's calendar, ensuring effective time allocation across health services, software development, and training initiatives
- Monitor and prioritize email communications, flagging urgent matters and drafting responses on behalf of the CEO
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholder meetings and business development activities
- Coordinate projects across three business components: NDIS health services, training programs, and software development
- Arrange travel logistics for business trips and ensure all necessary materials are prepared in advance
- Take comprehensive meeting minutes and follow up on action items to ensure accountability

- Serve as a liaison between the CEO and the team of coordinators and ground staff
- Proactively identify process improvements and implement systems to reduce administrative burden
- Challenge the CEO when tasks are missed or priorities need realignment
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive business and community information

Requirements

- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant supporting C-level executives, not just general administrative work
- Demonstrable project management and coordination experience
- Strong understanding of or experience within health support services, disability services, or social enterprise sectors
- Excellent values alignment with LGBTQIA+ community support and social impact missions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage upward effectively
- Confident communication style with the ability to respectfully challenge leadership when needed

Nice to have:

- Bonus if you have experience in the LGBTQIA+ community services or advocacy sector
- It helps if you have worked with neurodivergent populations or understand autism, ADHD, or bipolar support needs
- Bonus if you have experience supporting software development projects or technical teams
- It helps if you have worked in start-up or high-growth environments where you've worn multiple hats
- Bonus if you have teaching or training experience that supports staff development
- It helps if you hold qualifications in English, communications, or business administration

Independent Contractor Perks
- Permanent work from home
- Immediate hiring
