Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Research Administration Officer to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) fixed term until August 2027.

The Research Administration Officer provides high-level administrative and secretarial support to the General Manager Research and Partnerships and the Research & Clinical Trials Unit. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Research Unit through effective coordination of meetings, correspondence, reporting, events and administrative processes.

Working in a dynamic research environment, the position plays a key role in supporting research governance, clinical trials activities and stakeholder engagement while maintaining professional standards, efficient workflows and high-quality administrative services across the unit.

The role of the Research Administration Officer is to:

- Provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to the General Manager Research and Partnerships and the Research & Clinical Trials Unit.
- Coordinate meetings, calendars, appointments and activities, ensuring efficient operation of the Research Unit and timely completion of actions.
- Prepare reports, presentations, submissions, correspondence and other documentation while maintaining corporate and governance standards.
- Provide committee support, including agenda preparation, minute taking, distribution of documentation and tracking of follow-up actions.
- Assist with the planning and coordination of research-related events and activities, while maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain filing systems, records, statistical reports and administrative processes, ensuring accuracy,



confidentiality and compliance with organisational requirements.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

- Demonstrated experience performing high-level administrative, secretarial or executive support functions.
- Outstanding organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, along with strong document management capabilities.
- Experience preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes, maintaining records and coordinating meetings and events.
- A proactive, flexible and professional approach, with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team setting.
- Qualifications in Office Administration or a related discipline, and experience working within a healthcare, research or clinical trials workplace (desirable).
