Risk & Compliance Manager
About the team
Worldline Service Australia (WSA) delivers end-to-end payment services and technology support to Worldline clients within the Australian market. Our team focuses on ensuring reliable payment processing, proactive service management, and a superior customer experience through robust operations, incident response, and continuous improvement.
Our Team
The Service Delivery function provides operational governance, customer engagement and IT Service Management capability for Worldline Service Australia. The team is responsible for ensuring payment services remain stable, resilient and continuously improving through effective operational processes, customer governance and service assurance.
Your mission
Integrate with the Worldline risk and compliance framework, implement and maintain the operational risk and compliance framework supporting Worldline Services Australia's service delivery obligations. The role embeds risk management practices, monitors compliance, coordinates audits, manages operational risk registers, supports governance forums and drives continual improvement across operational controls.
The opportunity
We are looking for an energetic risk and compliance manager with experience in operational risk, compliance and exposure to banking and finance compliance challenges.
Day-to-day responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
Operational Risk Management
- Understand the global Operational Risk Framework.
- Facilitate operational risk assessments and maintain risk registers.
- Monitor treatment plans and emerging risks.
- Prepare executive risk reporting.
Regulatory & Contractual Compliance
- Monitor contractual compliance.
- Support APRA-related supplier obligations.
- Coordinate evidence requests and compliance reviews.
Governance
- Prepare governance reporting.
- Coordinate Risk Committee activities.
- Maintain governance documentation and action registers.
Control Assurance
- Review controls across Incident, Change, Problem, Access, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Information Security, Third Party Risk and Service Level Management.
Audit Management
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Manage remediation activities and evidence collection.
Operational Resilience
- Support business continuity planning, resilience testing and crisis exercises.
Policy & Process Management
- Develop and maintain operational policies, standards and procedures.
- Promote a strong operational risk culture.
Who are we looking for
You come from a payments or financial services background who is keen to hit the ground running. Strong analytical thinker ready to work in a fast paced environment who is familiar with CPS 230 and CPS234 obligations
Experience
Essential
Significant operational risk management experience.Financial services experience.
Strong governance and audit management capability.
Excellent stakeholder management and reporting skills.
Experience developing operational controls.
Highly Desirable
APRA Prudential Standards (CPS 230, CPS 234 and related standards).
Merchant acquiring or payments industry experience.
ITIL, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, ISO 22301.
ServiceNow GRC.
Leadership Attributes
High integrity, commercially aware, collaborative, analytical, influential, calm under pressure, detail focused and committed to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Degree in Business, Risk, Information Technology or equivalent experience. Professional risk, ITIL or ISO certifications are desirable.
