About the Opportunity
SEE Civil is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our busy construction teams delivering a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure and land development civil projects across the Ipswich and Logan regions.
This is a full-time opportunity responsible for managing the successful delivery of projects, including road infrastructure, subdivision, urban development, bulk earthworks, drainage and associated civil works. You will oversee project programming, safety coordination, subcontractor management, financial performance and the supervision of all technical aspects of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, programming and construction methodologies for all site works.
- Lead the delivery of civil infrastructure and land development projects in accordance with time, cost, quality, safety and compliance requirements.
- Ensure project activities comply with relevant legislation, regulations, standards, specifications and company procedures.
- Coordinate employees, subcontractors, procurement, plant, equipment and other project resources.
- Lead and support project teams through planned activities, project changes and variations in scope.
- Manage subcontractor performance, productivity, quality and compliance.
- Provide technical direction and support to project staff and resolve complex project issues.
- Coach,
mentor and train relevant staff while identifying opportunities for professional development.
- Prepare monthly assessments, financial reports and forecasts of project performance.
- Monitor project risks, costs, progress and resource requirements.
- Ensure plant, equipment, employees and subcontractors operate in safe working conditions.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Bachelor of Engineering, preferably in Civil Engineering.
- Construction White Card.
- Demonstrated civil engineering and project delivery experience across civil infrastructure, land development or related civil construction projects.
- Experience delivering projects such as roads, subdivisions, urban development, bulk earthworks, drainage or associated civil works.
- Proven project management, leadership, planning and coordination skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects while maintaining focus on priorities, deadlines and outcomes.
- Solid knowledge of contracts, specifications, engineering principles, Australian Standards and relevant compliance requirements.
- Highly effective negotiation, contract administration and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong planning, organisation, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to lead, motivate, coach and influence project teams.
- Computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
