The role:

We are looking for permanent full-time team member to work Monday 8:00am – 4:30pm and Tuesday to Friday 8am to 4.00pm in our Salvage Vehicle area at our Altona North site. This is a fast-paced role and you will be required to work both outside and inside an operational shed with various terrains, including gravel.

Responsibilities:

- Operate a 5-tonne forklift to load, unload & shift vehicles in and around the operational shed and open areas for our onsite Salvage Customers.
- Perform forklift duties on an open loading pad and maneuvering vehicles around the yard.
- Enter stock movements and conduct vehicle stock takes via handheld tech units.
- Maintain the vehicle storage area within our salvage yard.

- Have a current forklift and driver’s license.
- Strong commitment to Safety.
- Willing to undergo background checks (Police and Work Rights) and a pre-employment medical (including a drug and alcohol test) as part of the recruitment process. Please note: we also conduct random drug and alcohol tests onsite.
- Some knowledge or interest in the automotive industry would be advantageous.
- Basic computer skills.
- Any previous experience with loading and unloading and stock maintenance would be advantageous.
