We are looking to add highly skilled Drainers and Underground Excavator Operators to our underground services division. If you are a team player with the ability to take direction and have an in-depth knowledge of drainage and subdivision works, then this could be the job for you.
With work sites around the Perth metro area, you’ll be field based in a permanent full-time position which attracts a great hourly rate, overtime penalties, allowances and a company supplied vehicle.

ABOUT THE DRAINER ROLE:
Essential - The successful candidate will have:
- Significant experience in installing sewerage, stormwater, water and gas reticulation infrastructure, including the excavation of trenches to facilitate the installations
- Experience in reading and interpreting plans and drawings to lay pipe to specifications
- The ability to liaise with supervisors daily to ensure work is completed timely and effectively
- Ensure the work is constructed correctly the first time in line with the technical requirements
- Full commitment to upholding secure work practices
- A Construction Induction card (white or blue)
- Valid WA manual drivers’ licence
- The ability to pass a full pre-employment medical
Highly Desirable:
- PVC Pipelaying accreditation
- ATCO Gas Common Trench certification
- Dogman’s ticket
- Quick cut ticket
- Excavator ticket
ABOUT THE UNDERGROUND EXCAVATOR ROLE:Essential - The successful candidate will have:
- RII operating ticket(s) (Essential).
- Construction Induction Card.
- Highly competent in Excavation for Underground services and land development environment.
- Capable of working around underground and live services.
- Recent GPS experience (highly regarded).
- Previous experience in aspects of civil subdivision, particularly sewer, stormwater & water mains installs.
- Valid WA manual drivers’ licence (HR driver’s license preferred).
- Complete a pre-employment physical assessment and drug test.
Accountabilities of the role:
- Maintain and adhere to a safe work environment.
- Reading and interpreting plans and drawings.
- Liaising with supervisors daily to ensure all work is completed timely and effectively.
- Ensuring records/reports are completed as required.
- Attending and contributing to Safety Committee Meetings as required.
- Conduct thorough Plant Prestart and Take 5.
- Contribute to the development of effective SWMS with the work crew.
