Are you an experienced operational coordinator who stays calm under pressure, thrives in the field and knows how to bring people, resources and logistics together when they matter most?

Cape York Solutions is seeking a proactive and resilient Community Resilience Coordinator to lead the deployment of our Mobile Opportunity Hubs and coordinate on-the-ground operations during disaster preparedness, response and recovery activities for a 12-month fixed term.

Based in Cairns and travelling frequently throughout Cape York, you'll work alongside communities, government agencies, emergency services and local organisations to help ensure essential support reaches the right place at the right time.

No two days will be the same.

One week, you may be planning a Mobile O-Hub deployment, coordinating vehicles, equipment, freight and accommodation. The next, you could be travelling to a disaster-affected community, establishing a mobile facility and working alongside emergency services and local organisations to support relief and recovery efforts.

You'll combine operational coordination with practical, hands-on fieldwork-building solid relationships and helping communities access support when they need it most.

What You'll Be Doing





As our Community Resilience Coordinator, you'll:

- Plan, schedule and coordinate Mobile O-Hub deployments across Cape York.
- Ensure vehicles, equipment, emergency supplies and operational resources are maintained and ready for deployment.
- Coordinate logistics, including freight, accommodation, personnel, supplies and equipment.
- Lead the establishment, operation and pack-down of Mobile O-Hubs.
- Deploy to disaster-affected communities and provide practical, on-the-ground operational support.
- Support disaster preparedness, response and recovery activities.
- Work collaboratively with government agencies, Local Disaster Management Groups, emergency services, local councils, Traditional Owner groups and community organisations.
- Coordinate and support staff, volunteers and contractors during routine operations and emergency deployments.
- Maintain accurate inventories, budgets, operational records and reports.
- Contribute to grant reporting, acquittals, operational reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

You'll be a resourceful and dependable coordinator who can see the bigger picture while keeping track of the practical details.

You'll bring:

- A Certificate IV or Diploma in Emergency Management, Logistics, Project Management, Community Services or a related field-or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Experience coordinating logistics and field-based operations across multiple locations.
- Experience in emergency management, disaster response, community services or another fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong planning, problem-solving and organisational skills.




- The ability to respond calmly and effectively when circumstances and priorities change.
- Experience building productive relationships with government agencies, community organisations, contractors and other stakeholders.
- The physical capacity to lift equipment, establish mobile facilities and work in challenging environmental conditions.
- The ability to travel extensively throughout Cape York and deploy at short notice during emergencies.
- A current MR Driver Licence, or the ability to obtain one.
- A Working with Children Blue Card and the ability to successfully complete a National Police Check.
