I-MED Radiology Network, Australia’s largest medical imaging network, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse Division 1 Grade 2 to join our dynamic team across our Central Melbourne clinics.
This opportunity involves moving around sites within our Central Melbourne region, such as Mentone, East Bentleigh, Hampton, with some others as required to cover sick leave and annual leave. You will generally be the sole nurse at these sites
This is a Full time and or Part-time permanent role offering a Monday to Friday schedule with hours ranging from 8:00am-5:00pm- enjoy your weekends off!
About the role
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll play an important role in the running of the department. As well as, providing high-quality nursing support, assisting with procedures, and ensuring excellent patient care throughout their journey with us.
You’ll report to the Area Nurse Coordinator and work collaboratively with Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, technical staff, and administrative teams.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Radiologists with interventional procedures, including gaining informed consent, assessing medical history, monitoring observations, and providing post-procedure recovery care.
- Procedures include biopsies, epidurals, spinal injections, lumbar punctures, assisting with PICC insertions and PICC and Port management, drainages, and pain management injections.
- Maintaining a safe environment and emergency equipment.
- Fulfilling role of senior nurse in the department and mentoring other staff.
- Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to all patients.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and supportive clinic culture.
About you
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Experience with Radiology Nursing (preferred but not essential)
- Proven acute nursing experience.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
- Must have own transport
