Overview of the Role
We currently have an excellent chance for an Operator to provide support to our Plant & Equipment Division
Your duties will involve but are not limited to:
Core Duties:
- Adhere and comply with Enviro’s organizational values and adopted policies.
- Complete and submit any safety or project documentation and timesheets to Enviro’s nominated cloud software. Submit expense claims per Enviro’s guidelines.
- Maintain company assets, carry-out daily pre-starts, and operate all plant and equipment per Enviro’s SOP’s.
- Participate in team training events and monthly company toolbox meetings.
- Present professionally in Enviro’s uniform whilst performing duties. Liaise with Admin for ordering replacement PPE and uniforms.
- Always communicate courteously to members of the public and clients.
- Provide process improvement suggestions to reporting manager and where required assist with implementation and conformity.
- Adhere to and comply with any procedures implemented by Enviro and government regulations.
- Perform all duties within the parameters of Enviro’s workplace health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Maintain personal tools as required by Enviro’s Minimum Tool List.
Position Specific Duties:
- Operate machinery such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, rollers, and other plant as required.
- Drive and operate HR and HC trucks for transport of plant, equipment, and materials.
- Operate HIAB-equipped vehicles where licensed for lifting and loading tasks.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and driving hours in line with fatigue requirements.
- Complete oversize movements when accredited and directed.
- Assist with project mobilisation and demobilisation activities.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload plant, equipment, and materials.
- Perform storeman duties including project load-ups and returns.
- Assist with plant, equipment movements, and yard organisation.
- Complete weekly stocktakes of tools, plant, and consumables.
- Conduct daily pre-starts on plant, vehicles, and equipment.
- Refuel, clean, and maintain fleet, plant, and equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is stored correctly and ready for deployment.
- Assist on-site with operational or labouring tasks when required.
- Follow load limits, operational guidelines, and site traffic management plans.
- Liaise with supervisors, spotters, and ground crew to ensure safe operations.
- Ensure work areas remain tidy, safe, and compliant.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant plant operator tickets (excavator, skid steer, loader, roller etc.).
- Construction White Card.
- HC/HR truck licence.
- HIAB Ticket + Riggers & Doggers
- Oversize Accreditation
- VOCs for specialised machinery (desired).
- Intermediate level computer and technology-based skills
- “Can-Do” attitude and ability to work in a team and unsupervised at times.
- Ability to solve problems and come up with solutions to client requirements.
- Willingness to work regional on rostered swings.
Essential Requirements:
- National Police Clearance.
- First Aid Certificate
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol testing.
- Own personal hand and power tools.
