About the Role
Chubb Fire & Security is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to grow our Electronic Security presence across Darwin and the Northern Territory.
This is a high-impact, customer-facing opportunity for an experienced security sales professional who knows how to open doors, win complex opportunities and build valuable, long-term customer relationships.
You’ll help customers protect their people, property and assets while gaining greater visibility and control across their sites. Backed by Chubb’s national capability and more than 200 years of safety expertise, you’ll bring together access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, monitoring and connected services to address genuine operational and risk challenges.

What you’ll do
Operating as a true hunter–farmer, you’ll create new business opportunities while expanding valuable existing relationships. You’ll own your territory plan, engage senior decision-makers and position Chubb as the trusted partner for integrated electronic security solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying,
targeting and securing high-value accounts through market research, competitive intelligence, networking and proactive outreach.
- Building a healthy and accurate sales pipeline and converting qualified opportunities into profitable, long-term contracts.
- Developing strategic account plans, mapping stakeholders and growing territory accounts through tailored security solutions.
- Leading discovery conversations, site engagements, customer presentations and solution demonstrations.
- Engaging senior customer stakeholders to understand their security, risk, operational and business continuity requirements.
- Preparing compelling proposals, estimates and tenders that meet customer requirements, company standards and commercial objectives.
- Partnering with technical, estimating, operations, marketing and support teams to develop practical, integrated solutions.
- Ensuring clear and seamless handovers from sales to delivery.
- Using Salesforce CRM and market insights to forecast accurately, report performance and continuously refine your sales strategy.
- Representing Chubb at relevant industry events and forums to build our market presence and generate quality opportunities.
- Maintaining current knowledge of relevant Australian security standards, regulations and Chubb’s product portfolio.
What You’ll Bring
To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally have:
- At least five years’ experience in sales and account management – ideally in electronic security.
- A strong track record of winning and growing complex customer accounts.
- Exceptional prospecting, negotiation and consultative selling skills.
- The commercial discipline and drive to achieve ambitious revenue targets.
- Confidence engaging senior decision-makers and translating customer challenges into clear, value-based solutions.
- Experience preparing estimates and working closely with technical and delivery teams throughout the pre-sales process.
- Strong CRM capability, with Salesforce experience preferred.
- Sound Microsoft Office skills and a disciplined approach to sales reporting.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical thinking and the ability to use market intelligence to shape account and territory strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A professional, proactive and accountable approach.
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
Mandatory requirements
Due to the nature of this position, applicants must:
- Be an Australian citizen and able to obtain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency NV1 Security Clearance.
