About the Role

As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of civil construction projects from commencement through to completion. Working closely with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, clients and suppliers, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

This is a hands-on role that requires someone who is willing and able to travel to project sites as required while maintaining strong project administration and coordination responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the planning and delivery of civil construction projects.

- Coordinate project resources, subcontractors and suppliers.

- Prepare and monitor project programs and schedules.

- Track project costs, variations, claims and progress reporting.

- Prepare RFIs, work packs, ITPs and project documentation.

- Review engineering drawings, specifications and contract requirements.

- Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental requirements.

- Liaise with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.

- Support procurement activities and material scheduling.

- Conduct site inspections and attend project meetings as required.

- Assist in identifying and resolving project issues to maintain productivity.

About You

The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual with solid technical knowledge and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.

You will possess:





- Previous experience as a Project Engineer within the civil construction industry.

- Strong understanding of earthworks, roadworks, drainage, utilities and general civil infrastructure projects.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.

- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

- Willingness to travel to project sites across the Sunshine Coast, Gympie and surrounding regions as required.

- Commitment to workplace safety and quality outcomes.

Essential Requirements

- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Project Engineer role.

- Current Australian Driver's Licence.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Australian work rights.

Desirable

- Experience working on Australian infrastructure projects.

- Knowledge of industry civil construction standards and specifications.

- Experience using project management and construction software.

- White Card and other construction-related certifications.
