Description

We're all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Data Governance Adoption Lead, you'll play a critical role in driving the adoption, embedment and long-term integration of Australian Retirement Trust's Data Governance Framework.

Working closely with stakeholders across Data & AI, delivery teams and business units, you'll translate governance design into practical business outcomes. You'll lead change and adoption initiatives, influence key stakeholders, establish sustainable governance practices and help uplift organisational data literacy and capability.

You'll thrive in a highly collaborative environment where you'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. From shaping communication and engagement approaches through to measuring adoption success, you'll help ensure governance becomes a core part of how we manage and leverage data across the organisation.

This role is a 6 month max-term opportunity and is based in Brisbane or Melbourne.

Responsibilities

- Develop and deliver a Data Governance Change and Adoption Strategy aligned to the broader Data Governance roadmap.
- Lead adoption and change activities that support the successful embedment of governance roles, accountabilities and decision-making practices.
- Partner with business leaders, delivery teams and subject matter experts to operationalise governance across BAU and transformation initiatives.
- Design and implement communication, engagement and stakeholder management strategies that drive awareness and behavioural change.
- Conduct impact assessments, stakeholder analysis and change readiness activities to support successful implementation.
- Establish communities of practice and governance forums that reinforce ongoing adoption and engagement.
- Define and measure adoption metrics, behavioural indicators and governance maturity outcomes.
- Identify and proactively manage people-related risks and resistance to change.

- Support the development of data literacy initiatives, learning pathways and governance capability uplift programs.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on adoption progress, risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

- You have demonstrated experience embedding enterprise frameworks, operating models or governance capabilities across complex organisations.
- Your background includes working closely with data governance, risk, compliance or regulatory functions.
- You'll bring proven experience delivering organisational change outcomes and driving sustained behavioural adoption.
- You're formally qualified in change management through Prosci, APMG, a Graduate Certificate or a comparable discipline.
- You have successfully delivered change initiatives across medium-scale enterprise programs and transformation projects.
- Your stakeholder engagement skills enable you to influence and collaborate effectively at all organisational levels.
- You'll possess exceptional communication, facilitation and presentation capabilities.
- You're highly organised and capable of managing competing priorities in a quick-paced environment.
- You have experience working within data, analytics, governance or regulated environments.
- Your understanding of data governance frameworks, data lifecycle management and governance operating models will be highly regarded.

- You'll bring experience working within Agile delivery environments or broader project and program delivery frameworks.
- You're able to translate complex concepts into practical, business-friendly solutions that drive adoption and engagement.
