About the Role

We have an exciting prospect for an experienced Parking Enforcement Officer to join our Community Compliance team. As our new parking officer,



you will make a difference daily by providing effective and effective parking enforcement duties within the municipality to create and maintain an environment that preserves and enhances public health and safety.

- Enforce the provisions of the Road Safety Act and Regulations, the Local Government Act, Local Laws and other relevant legislation.
- Manage time and work activities effectively under limited supervision.
- Patrolling assigned areas on foot or by motor vehicle
- Issuing parking infringement notices on behalf of the Council
- Record and maintain clear records of enforcement matters
- Responding to and investigating parking related complaints.
- Providing exceptional customer service to the general public

About the Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong customer service focus, sound decision-making skills, and excellent communication abilities. They will be capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Strong face-to-face customer service experience
- Versatile availability to work a six-day rotating roster between 7:00am - 8:00pm Monday to Saturday including evenings, weekends and public holiday shifts
- Excellent organisation and time management skills to patrol designated areas




- Strong written skills to create accurate reports to be used as enforcement evidence
- Strong observation skills to make sound enforcement decisions, assess safety risks and to interpret parking regulations
- Australian Drivers Licence
- Thrive in a team environment with a positive culture, where all team members proactively support each other.
