Shellharbour Private Hospital is a 52-bed facility, delivering specialised surgical, medical and rehabilitative care to the Illawarra and South Coast.

The Role
Due to ongoing growth, we have a number of FT, PT and Casual opportunities for highly motivated and experienced Registered and Enrolled Nurses to work across rehab, medical and surgical wards.
- Provide safe and effective patient-centred nursing care to the patients/clients of Shellharbour Private Hospital
- Work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary health team
- Ensure optimal outcomes for patients/clients and carers of the service through the promotion of best practice
- Effectively manage resources relevant to the service
- Act as an advocate for the specific needs of all patients/clients and carers including those from the indigenous population or other multi-cultural groups providing appropriate care to the patient/client undergoing specialised procedures
Skills and Experience
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA)
- Current surgical nursing experience within an acute hospital setting desirable
- Demonstrated effective typed, written, & verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to organise & prioritise workloads, as well as problem solve situations
- A commitment to working in a close-knit team workplace
- National Criminal Record Check
- Working with Children Check
