Join a major SAP S/4HANA transformation program supporting the migration from ECC to S/4HANA. We are seeking an experienced ABAP on HANA Developer to modernise and optimise custom developments, ensuring applications are aligned with S/4HANA best practices and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Refactor and remediate ECC custom code for S/4HANA readiness, including removal of deprecated objects and obsolete functionality.
- Design, build and optimise Core Data Services (CDS) Views.
- Develop and enhance ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP).
- Build and support SAP OData Services and SAP Gateway integrations.
- Provide technical expertise on ABAP on HANA development principles and performance optimisation.
- Support SAP Fiori application development, including UI5, annotations, OData services and SAP Gateway frameworks.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-performing SAP solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in ABAP Development within SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
- Solid experience developing CDS Views, AMDP Classes, and OData Services.
- Demonstrated expertise in ABAP on HANA concepts and optimisation techniques.
- Experience supporting or delivering S/4HANA transformation programs.
- Exposure to SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, Annotations, and SAP Gateway.
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning and technical design capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
Desirable
- Experience within large-scale government or enterprise SAP environments.
- Previous involvement in ECC to S/4HANA migration projects.
