As a School Crossing Supervisor, you’ll play an importantrole in helping children get to and from school safely. It’s a simple but vitaljob that makes a real difference every day.

You’ll work short one hour shifts in the morning andafternoon during school terms, perfect if you’re looking for flexible work thatfits around your lifestyle.

What does a School Crossing Supervisor Do?

- Help children and pedestrians cross the roadsafely
- Manage traffic flow and signal vehicles to stopwhen required
- Follow clear procedures to reduce the risk ofaccidents
- Be a friendly, reassuring presence for childrenand families
- Promote safe road behaviours in your localcommunity

Would I be a good School Crossing Supervisor?

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be:

- Friendly, reliable and safety-focused
- Confident communicating with children anddrivers
- Calm, approachable and able to use goodjudgement
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weatherconditions

You’ll also need (or be willing to obtain):

- A Working with Children Check
- A Police Check
- A Medical Check

A standard Medical Check is required for this role. We needto make sure we are providing a secure workplace for you and it’s not about being“super fit”. The medical check simply ensures you can safely work outdoors andstand for short periods in different weather conditions.
