The Role

Golden Avenue is looking for a professional and focused Commis Chef to join the team!

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a genuine passion for producing exceptional Middle Eastern cuisine. You'll be joining a collaborative kitchen where quality, consistency, and teamwork are at the heart of every service.

This role will be best suited to someone who:

- Has 2+ years of experience in high-volume, quality-driven kitchens
- Holds a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- Excels at high-volume prep while maintaining consistency during busy services
- Has experience with charcoal cooking and flame-driven techniques (or an eagerness to learn)




- Takes pride in strong mise en place, organisation, and kitchen cleanliness
- Confidently follows recipes, plating guides, and kitchen systems
- Thrives in a rapid-paced team and communicates well under pressure
- Has a genuine passion for Middle Eastern flavours and bold, vibrant produce
- Enjoys contributing to a collaborative, high-performing kitchen team
