Casual Disability Support Worker — Eastern Suburbs VIC Hourly Rate: $30-$35

About the Role We are a values-driven disability support provider seeking a compassionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our eastern suburbs team. This hands-on role supports people with diverse disabilities, complex needs and changing goals in home and community settings.
You will provide person-centred care, build trusting relationships and promote independence while working flexible casual hours. Key Responsibilities Personal Care & Daily Living: Assistance with toileting, hoist transfers, bowel care, suppository administration, showering and dressing. Domestic & Home Support: Meal preparation and assistance, domestic support tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
Complex & Specialist Care: Support for acquired brain injury, dementia, challenging behaviours and mental health needs with dignity and skill. Clinical Tasks: Safe operation of hoists, following bowel management plans and assisting with medication administration within scope. Client Engagement: Deliver person-centred supports focused on choice, inclusion and wellbeing in community and social activities.
Documentation & Communication: Accurate record-keeping, collaborative care planning and timely communication with the team and families.
Who We’re Looking
For Female applicants preferred where a genuine occupational requirement applies, or as permitted by law. Experience: 3–6 years in disability, aged care or nursing support roles; experience with complex care highly regarded. Qualifications: Certificate III, Certificate IV or Diploma in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services or Assistant in Nursing.
Specialties: Mental health, domestic assistance, home and community care, dementia, acquired brain injury and behaviour support. Checks & Licences: Full Australian driver’s licence, own car, current Police Check and Working With Children Check. Languages: Ability to speak Chinese or Mandarin is a must. Seniority: Student-friendly environment with opportunities for learning and skill development.
