Solar Roofer / 2nd or 3rd year electrical apprentice

Newy Solar Co is a growing Company based in Hamilton, Newcastle.

We are looking to establish a dedicated crew to carry out battery and solar installations, with the crew consisting of an experienced tradesman, an electrical apprentice and a solar roofer.

What you’ll be doing

- Assisting in solar and battery installs and everything that comes with it. From marking out the roof, to running cables, terminating, inverter work, battery work, switchboard wiring, commissioning, fault finding, insurance inspections, thermal imaging, advanced diagnostics - we do everything when it comes to solar power.

- You’ll learn from qualified electricians (who are also good blokes) and develop solid trade foundations

- The more competent you get the more responsibility you get.

What we’re looking for

- Attitude is everything for us. If you don't fully get the solar game yet, that's ok. We will help you as long as you are genuinely interested and are positive.

- Continuing and finishing your apprenticeship (if you are an apprentice)

- Punctual, reliable, and shows up to work on time

- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors / on roofs and lifting panels and batteries.





- A can do attitude where you don't stand around waiting for things to get done, you try and think, be better, and help.

- Working at Heights

- White Card

- Already enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship / pre-apprenticeship (not required for solar roofer)

- Reliable transport to and from work

- Willingness to participate in company events, such as social media filming, etc.

Location

Warehouse and Office is in Hamilton North: This is the meeting point - from here you will load up and head out to site with your crew.
