Pawtails Rural Retreat is seeking a Animal attendant to join the retreat. We are operating a boarding facility located at Laggan, 10 minutes from Crookwell. The Animal Attendant is responsible for the overall care of all the dogs and cats within the boarding facility or van and reports to the managing director.

Pawtails Rural Retreat is a small size business on the move with a fun, friendly and relaxed workplace.

Responsibilities would include, but not limited to:

- Prepare feed and deliver water.
- Prepare and administer medication.
- Manual handling of dogs and cats of all breeds
- Thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all areas
- Supervision of all boarding dogs and cats (including recognising any unusual conditions or abnormal behaviours)
- Maintain accurate records.
- Assist with animal admissions and departures and provide reception support.
- Assessment of animal temperament and appropriate integration into the facility
- Basic grooming of dogs and cats
- Picking up and dropping off of dogs and cats from various locations including Goulburn, Southern Highlands and Sydney.

To be considered for this opportunity you must demonstrate:





- Animal Studies Certificate qualification preferred or relevant work experience
- Ability to competently handle and care for dogs and cats of all ages and at various levels of training
- A valid driver's license
- A high level of initiative, enthusiasm and energy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate sensitively and respectfully with relevant stakeholders. Some reception duties will be required.
- Ability to effectively work both independently and as part of a team, and under direction
- Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- The ability to follow through with all tasks; be reliable and accountable
- Mature and professional approach to your work and presentation
- Must be able to lift up to 15kg
- Must be able to stand/walk a minimum of 4 consecutive hours

The successful candidate must be available to work flexible hours weekends, public holidays, early mornings and afternoon shifts (8am to 4pm, 5:30am to 1:30pm, 2pm to 10pm)
