THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Service Technician / Installer Leading Hand to oversee and complete installations, servicing, maintenance and relocations of automotive workshop equipment.
This is a diverse, hands on leadership role that combines technical expertise, site coordination, customer interaction and team leadership.
From new dealership fit outs and major workshop installations through to servicing and equipment relocations, you'll lead projects from start to finish while maintaining the exceptional standards Davies Automotive Equipment is known for.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install new and existing vehicle hoists
- Lead site setups and large scale installation projects
- Supervise and support a small team onsite
- Relocate workshop equipment and hoists
- Service, maintain and repair vehicle hoists
- Service wheel and tyre equipment
- Collect parts and materials for scheduled works
- Manage stock, parts and job readiness
- Complete job cards and service documentation
- Identify and report additional service opportunities to management
- Assist with warehouse and forklift duties when required
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Previous experience within a mechanical, trade or technical service environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands on technical ability
- Leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a small team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, reliable and safety focused approach
DESIRABLE
- Medium Rigid Truck Licence
- Forklift Licence
- Experience with automotive workshop equipment
- Clean driving record

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Overnight or multi site travel may be required from time to time
