As a well established organisation, my client is looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join their team based at RAAF Williamtown NSW 2314 - north of Newcastle offering between $125,000 - $140,000 salary package. Successful candidates must be an Australian citizen and must currently hold a NV1 security clearance - this can be active or inactive. If it is inactive, the client is able to be a sponsor and work on the activation. Applicants that do not meet both these requirements cannot be considered for this role .

This role will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the organisation's accounts payable function. Also, will be responsible for processing a high volume of international invoices, maintaining financial data integrity, and acting as a primary point of contact for accounts payable enquiries.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting to a nurturing Finance Manager; you are responsible for
- Processing of international supplier invoices with correct coding and accuracy
- Prepare and post journal entries for month‑end and financial adjustments
- Verify funds availability and upscale discrepancies as and when required
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve invoice related matters
- Respond to internal and external accounts payable queries on a timely basis
- Support the integrity of internal controls through early identification of potential setbacks
- Identify potential control issues early and contribute to continuous process improvement
- Other ad hoc duties as and when required
Ideal Profile
This opportunity is for someone who has experience within a similar experience alongside enjoying working with data, solving process-related issues and supporting the end to end accounts payable function. You will also bring:
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable or transactional finance
- Robust attention to detail and accurate data entry capability
- Ability to manage high volume processing within deadlines
