About the Opportunity

We are seeking anInternational Trade and Project Officer to support ourInternational Competitiveness team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality administrative assistance to support our international trade services, compliance outcomes, and member‑client support. This role assists in preparation of export documentation, trade advisory services, reporting, and the delivery of projects that strengthen international competitiveness and business growth.

The International Trade and Project Officer is part of a small national team of 4. The role reports to our General Manager, International Competitiveness located in Sydney. You will be located in ourMelbourne office.

This role is suitable for a strong administrator with 1-2 years experience with an interest in International Trade.

Whilst the reality of each day will be different, you can expect to be accountable for:

- Providing administrative support by preparing and processing Certificates of Origin and exporter registrations, ensuring documents are complete and meet required guidelines.
- Responding to member and client enquiries in a timely manner (you will be trained on all the information you require to address these enquiries)
- Handling routine invoicing, data entry and assisting with the preparation of regular reports
- Provide administrative and operational support for projects, training programs, events, and seminars, working closely with internal teams.
- Ensuring your work is completed inline with full compliance with governance, quality, and accreditation requirements, escalating risks or breaches as required.




- Actively contribute to identifying growth opportunities and promote international trade services through outreach, referrals, and collaboration.

To best succeed in this role you will have;

- Exceptional administrative and organisational skills, with a focus on quality and timeliness
- Ability to work autonomously and be a self motivator
- Solid compliance and attention to detail
- Customer-focused and solution orientated approach
- Effective Communication skills both verbally and written
- Interest or experience in International Trade and cross-cultural contexts
- Willingness to learn and grow in an exciting role
