We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, inspecting, and packaging products in accordance with established procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will support all areas of manufacturing, including instrument assembly, testing, packing, spares, and reagent manufacturing. You will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, inspecting, and packaging products in accordance with established procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will support all areas of manufacturing, including instrument assembly, testing, packing, spares, and reagent manufacturing. You will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, inspect, and package products in accordance with approved procedures, work instructions, and schematics.
- Accurately record assembly and test data within Device History File (DHF) records and other production documentation.
- Follow all health, safety, and quality requirements while maintaining a safe working setting.
- Operate production equipment and identify maintenance or calibration requirements when necessary.
- Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products, reporting any defects, faults, or quality concerns.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, safety, and productivity.
- Maintain clean, organised, and efficient workstations in line with 5S and visual management principles.
- Update and maintain production and performance reporting tools, including visual management boards and +QDIP metrics.
- Report incidents, safety concerns, adverse events, and process issues in a timely manner.
- Support cross-training and assist with on-the-job training of team members when required.
- Take ownership of the quality and accuracy of your work.
- Accurately complete production records, timesheets, and associated documentation.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an assembly-line or manufacturing environment.
- Experience following detailed work instructions, procedures, and quality requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to accurately complete documentation and data entry tasks.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Desirable
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of GMP, quality systems, or ISO-regulated manufacturing processes.
- Experience using production documentation such as Device History Records (DHR/DHF).
